Welcome to our brand-new slideshow from the
Doom's Day Party 1994 held in Karlruhe/Ettlingen
on 8th & 9th of October 1994
The slideshow features 58 pictures taken at the party.
This is the entrance to the "Buergerhalle" in Ettlingen
>>> USE CURSOR LEFT "<" or RIGHT ">" TO SWITCH BETWEEN PICTURES! <<<
#02
Outside the party, 15:00 hours, the party should begin right now.
This is Dreamer of SHOOT. Remember his name! He'll make the 2nd
place in the module-competition later on the party.
#03
This is Aerosoul/SHOOT, still waiting for the hall to be opened. This
time without his "standard" spray-cans. Standing next to him is
Sensei/SHOOT, smoking hist first party-cigarette.
#04
This is Krypton/SHOOT. He smiles although
he doesn't know that we're
talking about him right now.
"Hey Krypton! You're a REAL LAMER! :-)"
(but he can't hear us, listening to breakbeat)
#05
Sensei/SHOOT is looking REAL GOOD this afternoon.
You shouldn't see him in the MORNING!
#06
These are the rules. Nothing unusual! It reads:
No tags! :(
No drugs! :(
No own drink/food :-(###
No weapons :)
No illegal software/hardware (HAHAHAHAHA)
#07
The hall's open and the masses are rushing in, willingly wasting
their money (DM 20) for the entrance fee.
Money for nothing?
#08
Stamp on the hand. STOMP. It reads:
"ERLEDIGT"
(eng.: DONE)
#09
The "ticket to heaven"
We got it for "free" after paying the fee.
It's worth ONE BEER!
(isn't that generous?)
#10
"Ey, are we looking like terrorists?" - "YES!"
The security does a great job in searching all visitors.
But just one time (later you don't get searched anymore).
Ain't the guys handsome?
#11
This is Hobbit. He donated the video camera!
He also does a great job in burning his own CD-Roms!
#12
This is the stage and the screen for the beamer!
Later (MUCH LATER!) we'll see some great demos on here!
#13
You are looking at the bar of the D-Day-Party `94!
During the boring afternoon it's becoming the
most important place in this hall.
#14
This is the "BON(G)KASSE"
Here you'll get the vouchers for your food and drink.
(YEAH ESPECIALLY DRINK!!)
#15
This is one of the rare organizers, guarding the BON(G)KASSE.
On the left you can see the poster setting the DEADLINE for all
competitions (it was 21:00 hours).
#16
This is the price list.
The prices were OK, but who want's to eat forever!
#17
This is the power-array!
Already half-filled and hey, no spagetti!
#18
The first computers are being booted <kick>.
There are mostly A1200s and some A500/4000s.
#19
The coders, graphicians & composers are launching their
tools. It seems that there's still a lot to be done!
#20
This's just a corner of the 1000qm hall,
it wasn't as full as it looks.
The room's filled with screaming chiptunes and roaring tekkno!
#21
Concentration fades when the LOUD music starts, so let's take our
free beer better now than never!
(It won't be the last, be sure!)
#22
This is the Rebels' votesheet (I forgot for what).
It contained the usual questions
(Did ANYBODY fill it?)
#23
This is DJ Mellownoise/SHD&INFECT.
He's a composer and he also has entered a module
into the competition.
#24
This is Executer/???, quite impressed (shocked?)
after seeing our camera-man.
#25
That's Galahad/SHRIMPS DESIGN (SHD). SHD will enter one
of the four demos into the competition!
I guess they'll make the 4th place, ehehe.
#26
And that's Toaster/SHD, he's a graphician of SHD. Right now
he's looking for some cables for his computer.
#27
Wow! That's a beamer!
Unfortunately it ran just aprox. 20% of the time!
#28
You are watching Thunderdome/ETHIC in action!
He's hacking in his latest module. Will it make the deadline?
It will, but it also will crash the
jury's computer after 10 seconds!
#29
Isn't that a nice sticker?
Shrimps Design is doing big PR on the party!
#30
Puzzler/PHONEDATION (PHN) and the rest of the crew arrive!
PHONEDATION'S got a real cool outfit! Cool jackets!
#31
This picture shows Jester/PHN&POD (right),
Waldi (mid) & Hobbit. Jester & Waldi are running
a real cool & fast BBS called "Placebo Effect"
Look out for it's number!
#32
This is Martin, another member
of the PHONEDATION Phreaking Group
#33
Well this is a close friend to PHONEDATION.
I don't know his name right now.
Anyway, I've got his picture, so I
had to write something :)
#34
Uh, the cameraman forgot to switch off the camera.
Well... maybe the two most interesting minutes of the party.
#35
Picture 35! This is Meikel/SHOOT!
He's one of our composers.
He also had one of his modules in the competition.
#36
This is Vertigo. I don't know if he's doing anything with
computers currently. The only thing I know is that his
leather-jacket was sticked with chewing gum after
the party. <yuck>
#37
And that's Draco/ACES!
(They ain't doing very much currently,
so there's nothing interesting to report)
#38
And this is ..... NOBODY!
(Well, HE told us so!)
#39
Well let's take a short ride into the RELIGION corner.
(it was really the corner of the hall).
As you can see, he's incredibly happy to see
some of the famous SHOOT members.
BTW: This is Hot Kid/RELIGION.
#40
And that's the guy whose handle I still can't remember.
Nothing more to tell about.
#41
This weary freak is a member of Religion.
Still don't know his name (he wasn't fond of being filmed).
#42
That guy's got a REAL COOL handle. It's
"Viel zu elitaer" .. and his group's
called "Noch viel elitaerer"!
Maybe he just wasn't in any group at all?
#43
You are watching "Tomato Kid" (AKA Bambino Tomato :-)
He's a cool phreaker/sysop, doing a lot of shit on the
Telekom lines. He's currently in RELIGION & SHOOT.
#44
That's another nice pic of him while
doing a Slow Motion,
since Tomato Kid gulped down his
beer faster than light :)
#45
This is Howie and Exage, both members of HAUJOBB!
HAUJOBB released one of the four party demos and they
made it to the second place (collecting DM 500!)!
#46
Ey, who's this lamer? Ah that's ME! Quickfinger/SHOOT is
running the SHOOT World Headquarter and always doing the dirty
jobs for SHOOT (like right now, typing this text :)
#47
Is it a dwarf? NO! It's Jaywalker at late night!
Sometimes he's also called "Brother Tuck".
He's our graphician and made the SHOOT-Logo you see on top
of this screen ("slightly" deformed to fit the page).
#48
Ehhhhh! This name-tag's sticking!
That guy is Subtrance/SHOOT, one of our musicians.
#49
Ain't these boys handsome?
Nice picture showing 17.64% of all SHOOT members.
After many hours of senseless waiting for the competitions,
we still seem to be in a good mood!
#50
HELP! The army invaded the party!
No, it's just Krypton/SHOOT in
his favourite "OBERFELDWEBEL" pose.
#51
You should see this animated!
Krypton's doing another one of his
embarrassing approaches to the camera man.
Krypton's jobs in SHOOT are trading,
phreaking and soon also running a HQ!
#52
Uah what's that? That's the knee of Dulux/Mystic (or maybe
the knee itself is called "Dulux"?) Well, see next page
to view the face of this guy.
(Proceed at own risk!)
#53
Hey what's that? Another dwarf? Nope this is
Dulux/Mystic. He didn't tell us very much, so
we can't write *anything* interresting.
#54
And that friend is Zorro/INFECT (NOT INFECTION!).
Does anyone still remember the late INFECT-infection war?
#55
Outch! That was close!
This the quite famous composer Shamrock. He's currently
writing modules for both SHD and SHOOT.
He also joined the competition with a module.
#56
That's Shamrock again.
It's picture 56/58 and I'm getting bored.
#57
Ah, that's Puzzler/PHN again!
That was the time when PHONEDATION
left the Party, since it took TOO LONG until
the results of the competition
were announced.
#58
Last and least!
This guy, because he was the coolest
and funniest and best of all the party!
